Director of Communications & Marketing, Zion Church
In my most recent job role, I lead strategic planning, content strategy, marketing, digital media, and video production for a 5-campus nonprofit community with 30K+ weekly attendees, achieving a notable 15% increase in online attendance within one year. Generated a 50% growth in Zion Church’s Instagram and YouTube following in less than one year, enhancing online presence and engagement by focusing on creating meaningful content that resonates with diverse audiences and strengthens community connections. Coached and mentored a dedicated team of ten staff members, contractors and a digital marketing agency.
CAMPspace is the first content creator studio in Prince George’s County, MD., hosting the national brands, influencers and talent who create content that moves the masses. Before CAMPspace, there were no true studios dedicated to giving local community members safe, private and beautifully decorated spaces to create promotional content for their businesses, and it was important to me to fill the gap because I, myself, often use content to share my story and entrepreneurial ventures.
Through CAMPspace, I am learning how to effectively manage all parts of a small business. My brain is being stretched and I’m gaining invaluable skills that are being applied to every facet of my life. Key performance indicators include:
Grew a loyal digital community by 22% in 1 year
Secured $200K in funding in 2 years
Managed partnerships & productions for global brands, including Bravo TV, Visa, LIDL & Lifetime TV
As the Military Marketing Manager for RAINN, I was solely responsible for the marketing rollout of the Department of Defense’s Safe Helpline Campaign. This task included creating a marketing strategy and timeline, creative concept design, vendor identification & management, web video direction and scripting, client reporting, event planning, and online & print ad management.

My role as Communications Manager for the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, consisted of me managing all public relations, messaging and outreach for it’s 250+ centers and various family-based programs. I managed center grand openings and program milestones, drafted speeches for the CEO and created brand guidelines for center managers to follow.
Shades of Content (80+ episodes and counting): Shades of Content is a show that teaches content marketing and self-care tips to Black millennial mompreneurs. I saw a gap in podcasts that were meant to inspire other women business owners to take charge of their lives - professionally and personally, and it was important to me to fill the gap because I know how hard it can be to run a successful business, while showing up for your family.
With Shades of Content, I’m able to polish my speaking, production and marketing skills in order to present weekly thoughtful episodes that engage and educate the community.
Black Girl Holidays Digital Content Calendar (2021-2022): Black Girl Holidays (BGH) is a content planner that highlights Black women milestones, events, achievements & fun facts via a 12-month, 365-day calendar. Before BGH, there was no one place to go for Black women historical and present-day facts, and it was important to me to fill the gap because we can only know our greatness when we are able to see it daily.
